From this success grew the Lighting & Power Division also now well established.

OBSTACLE LIGHTING
Our design team has recently refined our well tried and tested Neon Obstacle Lamps and control systems, all manufactured in a range of voltages, to now incorporate options like - inbuilt lamp failure telemetry and flash mode, whilst keeping ease of installation and maintenance in mind.
All our products are designed to meet ICAO and CAA recommendations.
A recent joint venture with Orga, a company renowned for its quality equipment for the north sea oil industry has allowed us to present their Medium Intensity aircraft obstacle lamp as an addition to our existing range of products.
FLA’s acknowledged expertise world-wide is reflected in recent contracts as diverse as Eire, Tanzania, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Japan amongst many others

FLA’s range of Neon and filament lamps are available in a wide range of voltages and meet the current requirements for both ICAO and CAA low-intensity, Group A obstacle lamps. Solar systems are also available, for isolated locations.
The robust lamp bodies are manufactured from corrosion resistant Die-cast alloy and finished in red Polyester Powder coat whilst the domes are formed from toughened safety glass, Polycarbonate domes are to be available later this year, Weather protection is to IP56.
Maintenance is made easier for the user by the high level of interchangeability of spares, standardisation of fixing and wiring method, simple quick release removal of dome and, of course, ex-stock availability from our stores of most items.
The neon lamps can be supplied as Single ,Double or Autoswitching units all of which now incorporate volt free contacts for tube failure telemetry , as well as a flashing facility, with the flash rate set to the internationally recommended standards.
In addition to the lamps themselves, we also have a full range of standard accessories to enable the design of a complete system to customer requirements, appropriate to the structure height. -These include:
Junction Boxes and control Boxes (protected to IP67)
Photocells, with or without override switch Isolators, MCBs, RCDs and Transformers Steel wire Armoured Cable, etc.
Brackets and fixings Earthing Equipment.
All equipment is supplied in accordance with current British, EEC and IEE standards and, of course, complies with the latest EMC and Low-Voltage Directives.
In addition to our own range of lamps, we can design systems using lamps of other manufacture, if specifically required, either on their own, or in conjunction with our own equipment to meet the customers requirements.
